    My 3x Great Grandparents were Alexander Sinclair/some records say Sinclaire (possibly a shoemaker) and his wife Mary. They had a son name d Richard Alexander Sinclair on Feb 9 1862 in Stranocum, Antrim. Richard then married Emiley Davidson Walshe in 1881 in Finvoy Presbyterian Church. Marriage records record they were โ€œSchool master and school mistressโ€. They immigrated to the US in 1901-1902. They had 6 children while in Ireland, Including my grandfather Arthur James Sinclair, in 1888. If anyone has any information on this family or any idea on where I could find additional information, I would love to hear from you.

The Sinclair story [dominated by DNA tribal marker R1b-L513, Subgroup A1] can trace their origins to the Finn Valley in Donegal, Ireland from 50 BCE. Perhaps the journey begins with the Clanna Dedad; Deda, son of Sen or Deda Mac Sin. The Sinclair surname origin is from a Northern Ui Neill [R1b-L513] tribe. The Cenรฉl Eoghan and the tribes of Donegal conquered much of Ulster (Derry and Tyrone).
