My paternal Grandfather was Jasper Benjamin from Hurley, South Dakota. His Dad was John J, and his Dad was John Baldwin. He took the family from somewhere around Wheeling, VA in the early-mid 1800's to the Madison, WI region. I'm trying to trace his family farther back to Ireland, (I've heard Co. Laois.) My Dad's maternal grandmother was Bridget Mary O'Shea, b. 1856? in NY City, (maybe Co. Cork.) Any information would be very helpful.
